The Science of Compassion 2014

Location: Fort Mason Center, San Francisco

Presented by CCARE, this event will bring together leading experts in research on compassion, altruism, empathy, social connection and service to discuss their latest scientific findings. They will explore the origins of compassion and compassionate action, how it can be measured, and fostered through interventions and personal practice.

This event is part of Compassion Week, which includes five back-to-back events converging on the science and practice of compassion across a variety of fields. The week will kick off with the second Science of Compassion Conference, followed by the inaugural Compassion & Healthcare Conference, the third Empathy & Compassion in Society Conference, Charter for Compassion Day, and finally, the ‘Living Compassionately’ Retreat.
