Empathy & Compassion in Society

Location: Fort Mason Center, San Francisco

Presented by the Tenzin Gyatso Institute, the theme for the 3rd Empathy and Compassion in Society conference is Compassion: Who Cares? Everyday Choices & Challenges. World-renowned experts and leaders from neuroscience, education, psychology, technology, healthcare and the arts will present the latest research and practical tools for cultivating empathic organizations, teams, and societies. It also offers case studies that show why these methods can help anyone, in any situation or organization.

This event is part of Compassion Week, which includes five back-to-back events converging on the science and practice of compassion across a variety of fields. The week will kick off with the second Science of Compassion Conference, followed by the inaugural Compassion & Healthcare Conference, the third Empathy & Compassion in Society Conference, Charter for Compassion Day, and finally, the ‘Living Compassionately’ Retreat.
